KC BANCS and FIRST

In striving to engage high school students with disabilities in STEM fields, KC BANCS has started to provide sponsorships to inclusive FIRST Robotics teams. Pathways to careers in STEM fields don't start in college, when students choose their majors, but in high school where interest is piqued.

Help KC BANCS build accessible pathways to careers in STEM. We are proud to have sponsored the following six FIRST Robotics teams for the 2010-2011 year and look forward to sponsoring more teams in 2011-2012!

Become an Accessible Robotics Team

KC BANCS encourages people with disabilities to enter the STEM fields by sponsoring FIRST Robotics teams that include people with disabilities on their team for between $300 and $600!

Who Is a Student with a Disability?

Any student with an Individualized Education Plan, including but not limited to students with:

• Learning Disabilities
• Developmental Disabilities or Delays, such as Autism
• Physical Disabilities
• Hearing or Sight Impairments

Any public or private team in the Greater Kansas City area is eligible!
