KC STEM Alliance

An independent program housed at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Computing and Engineering. Their mission is to help increase the number of students who are prepared to enter STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers in Kansas City. Initially, the program will serve to consolidate local support for two existing organizations Project Lead the Way-Kansas City (PLTW-KC) and FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Eventually, the KC STEM Alliance will be an overarching organization that leverages strengths, human resources and fiscal assets of other organizations with similar purpose.

Project Lead the Way Kansas City

Introduces young people to the field of engineering. Students engage in real-world projects, similar to those professional engineers experience.
