Purpose and Mission of the Alliance Partnership

Because the involvement of community partners is essential to developing an educational pipeline to STEM careers, KC- BANCS is forming the Alliance Partnership with the following mission:

• Enhance the understanding of the regional needs of students and veterans with disabilities related to access to STEM careers
• Enhance the effectiveness of the Alliance in creating change and sustaining efforts
• Provide guidance on leveraging additional financial support for KC-BANCS from community and state partners

Philosophy

The Alliance Partnership will be composed of key leaders representing a variety of areas associated with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Each key leader will bring a diverse set skills and knowledge to help us build a pipeline for students and veterans with disabilities interested in STEM education and the workforce.

Time Commitment

The Alliance Partnership meets annually at he Alliance Partnership Joint Annual Meeting. A leadership team, the Community Action Team, meets quarterly. Alliance Partnership members may be invited to participate in key conversations to move the initiative forward.
